New Frontiers and Bright Ideas: American History 1860–1900s
An engaging and educational course designed for elementary students interested in learning about the early years of our nation.
Our new American History Course is geared toward 2nd-5th graders who are wanting an engaging opportunity to gather with other homeschooled kids their age and supplement their American History learning in a fun, hands on environment.
This exciting American History class for 2nd-5th graders is going to continue on from where we left off in last year’s Early American History course, giving a solid foundational overview on American history starting at the Civil War and moving onward to the mid 1900’s, as the young nation rebuilds after conflict, expands, and is transformed by the industrial revolution. Even if your student didn’t join us last year, they are welcome to jump in to this new course, with no pre requisites. Kids will focus on map work and critical thinking and gain a foundational understanding of events happening in America, from its brith until now. The course will consist of a lecture, hands on worksheets, and some group projects to be completed during the class time.
