A note about these resources: 
I love ASL and the Deaf community, and I’m so glad you want to learn ASL too. Be curious, be humble, be brave, and get your hands moving!  Learning ASL in a homeschool environment can be fun and bring families together to learn new things together. Learning sign language will enable you to interact with Deaf people you may meet, is helpful to put on a job resume, and can lead to fulfilling careers. Common careers that utilize sign language include: Sign Language Interpreters, Teachers of the Deaf, Speech-Language Pathologists, Audiologists, Social Workers and Counselors, and Healthcare Professionals.

I will continue editing this list as I become aware of more resources. All of the links I’ve shared are from reputable Deaf or Deaf-lead websites and content creators. Be aware that sign language dictionaries, like any English dictionary, include language and words you may not want children to browse. 

Tips: When you are searching for and watching ASL videos, always look for Deaf signers! Do not learn ASL from a random hearing person online. There is a LOT of false and incorrect info out there right now, so your best bet is to find videos by Deaf people.

I do not have a solid recommendation for an ASL app, most require a paid subscription and I have not personally used them. However, of the many out there, these would be my top choices. 
Lingvano: Deaf creators and signers, paid app/subscription $17+/mo. 
ASL Kids – Sign Language: Usable with free account, or a paid upgrade-  $3 one time purchase for all resources.  Uses child signers. 
ASL Bloom – Sign Language: 2 lessons per day free, or unlock more with paid subscription $10/month. Uses Deaf signers.
