We will focus on the geography, cultures, and people of different regions, while encountering references that reflect the curriculum’s Christian worldview (such as creation language, historical influences of Christianity in certain regions, Christian traditions, or personal accounts). There will be no specific religious or theological instruction. Your students will be welcome to engage with the material from your own family’s worldview, and I am determined to support an environment of discussion, sharing and learning.
If you’re unsure if this class is the right fit for your family, you can preview the curriculum. It’s available in the shop in the History room, and I’m always happy to talk through it or answer questions.
All of our other classes are taught from a neutral perspective.

Meet the Instructor: Lindsey Whitney
Lindsey is a 2nd generation homeschooler and is so grateful for the beautiful foundation her mom gave her though home education. She hopes to do the same for her bunch of busy boys-she has 4, including a set of twins. After a 10 year career as a self employed sign language interpreter, she is loving her role as a full time wife, homemaker, mother and teacher. Lindsey still interprets on Sunday mornings, serving in the Deaf ministry at their church. She enjoys teaching, slow start homeschool mornings, nature study and spending time with her family including two sisters who also homeschool.
