Course Description:
Students will study world geography and cultures through picture books and hands on activities, art, and projects.

Who:
Little students who are preparing for or just starting Elementary school, almost-kinder to 1st grade, roughly 5-8 years old.
There are 8 spots in this class

Parent Attendance and Classroom Policies.(Required)
Our class policy requires that parents remain on the premises during class time; this is not a drop-off class. To ensure a comfortable experience, parents are welcome to use the sunroom while other children can enjoy the playroom. If a child needs assistance in the restroom, it is the parent’s responsibility to provide help, teachers and classroom helpers cannot help children in the restroom . Additionally, to guarantee a safe and secure environment, all classroom teachers have undergone thorough background checks. This policy is designed to foster a supportive and secure atmosphere for all participants.
Parent Volunteer(Required)
We require one parent volunteer to be present for each class session. On the first day of class we will have a sign up sheet for parents to volunteer for 1 class day during the course to be the classroom assistant. In the case that you are unable to volunteer, reach out to us and we will try to accommodate.
Acknowledgment of Class Policies(Required)
Please note that all purchases are non-refundable. We do not offer refunds for missed classes, and there are no make-up sessions available. By enrolling, you acknowledge and agree to these terms.
Photo Release(Required)
Photo Release – We love to take respectful photos of students enjoying classes at The Homeschool Supply Co, to show others what our community and classes are like. We’d love permission to use photos that may include your child participating in classes for these purposes and (heres the legal jargon…) for any legal use, including but not limited to, publicity, copyright purposes, illustration, advertising and web content. Furthermore, I understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.

Meet the Instructor: Taylor Welch

Taylor Welch is a homeschooling mom of three sweet girls, ages 3, 5, and 7. After spending the last seven years as a stay-at-home mom, she began her family’s homeschooling journey last year and has loved every minute of it. Their days are filled with slow mornings, cozy snuggles on the couch with a good book, baking sourdough bread and other treats, exploring the outdoors through hikes and park adventures, and spending time with the wonderful friends and community around them.
Taylor holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Washington University and has experience working with children in both educational and therapeutic settings. She previously worked as a paraeducator supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs, as well as a client advocate for youth in residential treatment. She is passionate about helping young children learn through play, creativity, curiosity, and meaningful relationships.
Taylor loves creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that help children grow in confidence, character, and a love of learning. She is excited to partner with families to provide a warm, nurturing environment where children can explore, discover, and thrive.
