This exciting science class for 2nd-5th graders is going to dive deep into the many aspects of earth science. In this 10 week course your students will learn about how to study the earth using the scientific method, what makes up our solar system, and everything from the earth’s core to the atmosphere and in between. Students will learn about the water cycle, climate and weather and how to map the earth. Each student will get their own science note booking journal, and we will provide everything needed for hands-on experiments. Former science school teacher Sandy Miller is so excited to cater her many years of experience to homeschooling families and bring us a fun hands on science adventure. This is a secular science course, if you have any questions about course material before you register please reach out to us.

Starting September 3rd- November 5th
Tuesdays 10-11:30am
Class at the Homeschool Supply Co
Price: $260 for 10 weeks. All necessary materials are included in the course fee.
12 students max
Each class includes a snack break, snacks will be provided.
We require one parent volunteer to be present for each class session. Upon registering you will sign up for one day during the course to be the classroom assistant. In the case that you are unable to volunteer, reach out to us and we will try to accommodate.
The week of November 12th, we are offering an optional bonus session titled “The Lord’s Creation”. This extra session will tie biblical world view and creationist beliefs into the discipline of earth science. Please indicate upon registration if your child will attend the additional session.

Sandy is a former middle school science teacher and was with the Lake Washington School District for the duration of her career. She has a science and teaching degree from Central Washington University. She is the proud Mom of two adult children and wife to her fabulous husband! Sandy loves Jesus, family, animals, sports, outdoor walks and sunny warm vacations. She is excited to bring science to life for our homeschooling families.
